Went to the Cave on sat. Got on the water at daylight fished the usual spots: weedbeds. saw lots of shad bass/ musky were both feeding in a few spots. morning was slow only caught two bass one keeper. the air temp kept falling and falling it was colder at noon than it was at 6:30. But around 1:30 it got alot warmer and the wind died down the tail end of that front finally pushed out. And around 2:30 I caught a 35" musky on a Grimm Reaper Spinnerbait: white w/ gold willow blades and in 30 min. I raised two more one was 40+" and ate on a figure 8 but missed hooks. All in all not a bad day could have been better. Water temp was 67, mostly clear but the further up lake you went the more color it had. The bass fishing should be turning on if you hit it before the next cold front. Once the first frost hits the shad willreally start to ball up and if you find the shad you'll find the fish!
