I was going to pre-fish for this event, but I am a co-angler this year and when I did last year for the KBFN event I found fish and the jerk I was fishing with did not even TRY my spot until 20 min left in the day. He learned a quick lesson though cause I caught 2 on my first two casts and threw a rigged bait of what I was using at him to throw. He made one cast, caught his ONE fish and made us leave immediately. They were only 12-13 in KY's, but that's all you need there sometimes. 11 guys caught fish that day, all qualified, and I regretted helping him cause he ended up being a jerk. I figure this year I am not gonna do it again for fear that it will end up the same way and be a waste of my time. Its a shame that SOME, definately not all, think co-anglers are idiots and don't realize some of us ONLY fish this one as a co-angler and can help if asked. Anyway, good luck guys and I hope I get a decent pairing, for at least ONE day, with someone who at least pre-fishes it.... Take care and again GOOD LUCK this weekend.

Rob, co anglers have no say in where to fish or what spots they fish. It is in the rules, you can make a suggestion as to say that might be a good spot, but boaters are not supposed to fish your spot, as you have no spot. Also a lot of kbfn guys are on this board, so watch who you call a jerk as you might draw that "jerk again".

That's a good point I'm a non-boater too, and if you have a good spot its okay to suggest it.. but thats the whole point of being a boater is that you make the decisions on where to go and where not to go. if you want to call the shots where you fish you should just be a boater. I've got two boats and the only reason i'm not a boater is I like to fish with different people to see what they do and learn a little bit. but i would be careful like Bobby said you might draw them again. I just try to be polite and nice, and if I know of anything i may suggest it, but usually only if I'm asked. Even if I had a real hot spot and was killin e'm I'd may mention it. and then after that you just have to leave it up to the boater to make the call.
