Mark, did you read the initial post? He has not accomplished anything and apparently "accomplishments" are not required for the award, only "extraordinatry effprts"!! That is what the award says and that is exactly what makes is so strange:

The Norwegian Nobel Committee praised Obama for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."

UH Yea I read it that's why I'm trying to point out he did nothing, Zip, Nada that every other American President has tried to do, that's my point. Bush Sr and Jr both, Reagan, Yada Yada all did this very thing during their Presidency WHY didn't they win the NPP???

The Nobel Council jumped the shark years ago, when they gave the Peace Prize to Yasser Arafat. And as if that weren't enough, they gave one to Kofi Annan, right as the Oil for Food scandal was breaking.
