    Poor Chub.....

I'm not a golfer but about 12 years ago my oldest son and nephews wanted to learn to play,we sort of did a learn on our own thing and played at some smaller courses around Florence,Ky.
At one course World of Sports they have 18 holes that some are tight on space, these guys teeing off on a previous green that faced opposite us as we teed off hit a slice and never yelled a warning, the shot hit my boy in the temple and knocked him out. When the guy came over to see how he was ,I was so pissed I told him he better get his ,ahem, rearend away before I killed him.My son got a severe concussion, but was okay. That sort of ended our golfing career.

Little word of advice, when playing golf in florida, and you hit into the water....let the ball go. I know ProV's are expensive...so expensive you feel like you are paying an "arm" and a leg for them (no pun intended!), but they are not worth your life! That's when the drop comes into play, and move on!

Depending on the skill level of the player, golf can be very dangerous...for both them and those around them. Some guy joined up with us one time out on the links, and lets just say he wasn't a Tiger Woods (or even a john daly!). His ball was sitting about 10 feet back from a tree that was right in his path. He lined up the shot (and I slowly moved behind the golf cart).....WHACK!!!....THUD!!!!......hit the ball square in the middle of the tree trunk, straight back into his nose and busted it to pieces! Blood everywhere.....quite the scene!

Adding alcohol to the equation can have its pros and cons. I have come across some pretty biligerent drunks on the golf course.....and I have come across some pleasant ones. All depends. Needless to say, it doesn't help your game playing impaired. lol. Golf is hard enough to do when sober!

yes it is hard enough and i have seen some horrible drunks but we never get drunk just enough to take the edge off and my friends that only play 3-4 times a year and shoot 120-140 are a blast to play with as long as your in no big hurry.
