Man it's Shimano for me!

I know this is not the proper place , but it is the place everyone posts on from all states..
A long time ago field and stream ran 4 midrange baitcasters threw real world testing , and scored them. At that time Pflueger Trion won. I purchased one , and am still pretty happy with it. I am in the market to replace 2 to 3 of my older midrange reels for newer/better reels. I wonder what everyones thoughts are as to what is ( in their oppinion ) the best baitcaster for under $130.00 ??
Some Examples , Diawa Tierra , Abu Garcia Revo S , Shimano Citica , Pflueger Asaro , Quantum KVD , Or maybe even cheaper models than these ? Im talking general use , not technique specific here.
Man it's Shimano for me!
SHIMANO - yes i know I yelled that. That new citica (for the price) is one of the best all around reels made. Reminds me alot of the curado b's (my all time favorite reel). I stil think I would do some serious internet searcing for the shimano E's - maybe find a sale or a slightly used one for that price, and you will not be disapointed. But from the ones you listed, without a doubt in my mind, I would go with shimano.
The citica seems to be the favorite everywhere I ask. I just wonder , how smooth is it , since it only has 4 bearings ?? I dont care about bearing count , so long as it is a good smooth reel.
Just got the latest edition of FLW Outdoors in the mail today...they call it their 2010 Buyers Guide. At any rate they like the following: "For baitcasting they like Abu Garcia Orra SX for $99.00 dollars. In the spinning outfits they like the Pflueger Arbor for $79.95 dollars and they also like the Shimano Stradic C14 for $199.00 dollars.
As for me...man I LOVE my Shimano Curado's, granted they cost more than what you're lookin' to spend but Shimano's are nice as far as baitcasters are concerned. For spinning I have a Shimano Sedona, and quite truthfully I'm not 100% pleased with it. It was $10.00 less than the Shimano Sahara at the time so I went with the Sedona.
If anyone could chime in on spinning reels I would appreciate it. I'm talking light line, 6lb to 8lb test mainly.
look at the Ardent C400 it sells for around $150.00. it casts great and its american made with a 3 yr warranty
I agree with the citica, but I heard recently they are redesigning it again!!! I couldn't find one locally because of that. As far as smoothness with only 4 bearings? don't hesitate that reel is a workhorse and still cast great after 100+ days of fishing.
Spinning reels: My opinion after looking at probably 50 different ones I settled down with the Shimano Symetre FJ2500, but I bought my son the saros which is one step better and these are just darn fine reels. I use Fluro on them and the have a set-up for using flurocarbon that all but eliminates line twist. The Symetre is around $100. and the Saro's is $125 give or take a couple bucks.
