    Ready to move to Arizona

I told the wife I just can't take this craphole weather around here anymore. I mean it litterally rains here almost everyday, I'M DONE. Are there any smallmouth lakes in Arizona? There is alot of the type of work that I do there, so I really feel I can find work with my experience.

Does Meade or Powell have smallmouth, I can't fish for just largeheads I'll go nuts, but hey at least the sun will shine on me for a change.

I'm just sick of being wet, lol. Of course I'll never get my wife to move, so my pipe dream will be crushed.

When is the farewell party? (sniff, sniff). You know that being a 'flatlander' in Arizona would be worse than getting your little piggies wet every day. Besides that, the price of living is much higher there. Better brush up on your Spanish because the state is over run with illegal Mexicans and they are causing law enforcement some big headaches.

Be it ever so humble; there's no place like home.

Ohh dude you hit it on the head there! I'm a huge fan of Arizona after being there a few times. It does get hot but it's not as sticky humid as it is in the east. If you have allergies it's a pretty good place to be since there are not alot of trees compared to here.

Alot of mountains as you go north and alot of dust/rocks as you go south.....going back in the Spring!

Wink Re: Ready to move to Arizona

I've been twitching to take my metal detectors there ever since I started watching the show "Gold Fever". I've been through there 4 times but never got to do much more than "highway" look. Wouldn't mind visiting regular, but there's No Place Like Home.
As I type I just watched 3 big fat does and 4 - 3/4 growed yearlings go through behind the house followed by a dozen turkeys.
I hear tell they have more rattlesnakes than deer in Arizona.

Yeah man they have alot of Javalenas, Coyotes, Scorpions and spiders! A few Bobcats as well.

I can't imagine trying to spot a snake in that desert.

I am not sure what kind of animal this is but it acts like a fox, has a mouth that runs non-stop, and works in the operating room at a hospital in Phoenix. It keeps calling me "aunt Bug." lol

I have relatives in Franklin, AZ who still own my great-grandmother's old farmstead. They have a huge wheat field and the pheasants take it over at harvest time. Good hunting, good eating.

Re: Ready to move to Arizona

I know I am mostly not liked here, as I like to think logically, but I'll offer what I know.

While in Pheonix/Scottsdale on business, I got to talking to a couple of guys pulling a Triton. I saw several bass boats that trip. I found out there are several lakes in the mountains that offer bass fishing.

    Hope that helps...

Man...dude whats up with the guilt trip? I like all the guys and gals on here and I think I speak for most if not all. This place is just opinions and opinions on facts....someone disagrees...who cares? I don't...life is full of difficult things and this place ain't one of them.
There isn't one person on here who knows everything or isn't full of crap once in awhile.

Don't pay any attention to the guys you think doesn't like you. They have no more privileges than anyone else; you have as much right to be on this board as they do; it isn't a popularity contest.

Try being a woman dealing with a couple of jerks on this board who think women are dumb and inferior to them. If they insult me, the war is on; I don't give a happy rat's butt whether they like me or not or how big their ego is. I think they are pathetic little "wusses" who are insecure and don't know what to say so they say something dumb. I'll put my "bull in their pasture" any time they want to wave a red flag.

Aside from those two jerks, the rest of the guys on this board seem like brothers to me.
