cumberlandguy1, I'm a little confused about youre request for help on catching stripers here on the big C. Did you not make this post on this forum or maybe I'm confused?
“I learned to use my fish finder....after that all you have to do is get them to bite. I've been fishing Cumberland for 17 years, so I have figured out what to look for. During the mornings and evenings, I throw crankbaits (Gizz 4 from SmackTackle.com) and during the day I pull 2 ounce bucktails with a 6 inch curly tail. I have only been skunked twice in 17 years. Wonder how many of the guides can say this? ;-)”

I had been really struggling lately. Had a friend in town that loves to striper fish. We were catching a few, but they were small. A big thanks to Noah Lacher and Justin Hall for pointing me in the right direction! Just when I think I've got it figured out the fish do something weird.

Noah is a good guy. He knows his stripers and can put you on them. Cant wait to get down in a couple of months and see if we can crank some up.

    Re: Striper help on Cumberland

Hey Justin, it was good to meet you this afternoon. You might want to try that little area I told you about. We have caught some quality fish there this week. Looks like I'll be fishing in the rain in the morning. It's my last day to fish until next Thursday. I have an empty seat a lot of times when I fish, so give me a yell.
