No problem dude prayers sent. Can you nail down who you might have got it from? Keep away from everyone and keep the wipes handy to disinfect the things you touch. Good luck!

Guys just got back from the hospital and I've got the H1n1. Let me tell you this bug is no joke. I've had a fever to almost 104 tonight and a cough you can't cure. If you guys don't mind say a prayer for my 3 yr old boy who I've been in the same house with yesterday and today. He doesn't have any symptons yet but I'm praying he doesn't catch it. For you guys second guessing getting the vaccine in that earlier post...Trust me...GET IT.

Sorry to hear that man! Prayers for you and your son. Drink plenty of water and get bed rest.
Sorry to hear that you got it bad. My worry is the same as yours in that I don't wont my kids to get it. Seems really hard on the younguns. As far as getting the shot, I will consider it as long as the Government doesn't tell me I have to get it. I don't like them telling me I have to do anything. I'm for freedom even if it means I might get sick and die.
Unfortunately, everyone in your household has been exposed. This virus is highly contagious and doesn't discriminate. Although it appears that it hits the young ones the hardest, the actual numbers show that it has hit the teenagers the worst. There have been hundreds of kids with it around my area, with no reported deaths. Kids are overcoming it, just like the regular flu. I talked to a peditrician friend the other day, and he said that the hype about the H1N1 flu strain is just that...hype. He said they see kids on a daily basis that have the H1N1, and they aren't even treating it with tamiflu, they just let the body take care of it with regular flu regimends. He says that tamiflu is hard on kids, that's why they try to avoid it.Guys just got back from the hospital and I've got the H1n1. Let me tell you this bug is no joke. Rest up, drink lots of fluids, take your tamiflu and you'll be back on the water in a week. Hang in there!
As for the vaccine, no thanks. I will take the flu over its potential side effects! IMO

Thanks for the info and thoughts/prayers guys. As of now I'm feeling a little better but I still have a bad cough. I've been reading that the viral pneumonia is what is really hurting people my age so I'm really paranoid I'm coming down with that. The next morning after returning from the ER we got my son out of the house and he's been at my Mom and Dads. So far he has no symptoms. Unfortunately my wife who has stayed here with me is starting to get a cough so I think she is coming down with it
. I can't watch any of the news local or national with out getting freaked out because they keep talking about people dying from this bug.
Good to hear about your son, and good idea to ship him off to mom and dads. You are right about the pneumonia, that is what has caused the most trouble with this H1N1. You would be suprised how many people die each year from the seasonal flu and pneumonia, and that is with a vaccination available.
Turn the TV off....relax...and you'll be back on the water before you know it! Take care.

Hang in there Joe, I sure hope your little fella doesn't get it, Good luck Pal.
I agree with you on alot of your points. I am not an expert , but I did do the math. I have seen where there have been 43 child deaths from this flu , and my daughters age there have been 5 of those 43 , and it says many of those children had chronic underlying conditions ( mine doesnt , that we know of , and I pray it stays that way). So , Im not in a big hurry to get the shot for her. However , I crunch numbers at work... In 1976 46,000,000 people got the vaccine and of those 46million , 4000 were diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. Simple math says that 99.99% of people vaccanited were fine , while .01% vaccanited got GBS. Numbers are very much in favor of the vaccine. This is the only reason pointed out to me by the anti vaccine peoples of the world to not get the shot. I dont think thats all that great of a reason , is there another reason not to get the shot ? I will not inject my child with the nasal mist , as it contains the weakened live virus. I would consider the shot without the thimerosal in it.Unfortunately, everyone in your household has been exposed. This virus is highly contagious and doesn't discriminate. You would be surprised after 11 days from my first symptoms how down I still feel. Probably at about 75% right now. Flu is gone for sure but I get winded real easy and I still have that dry cough. Surely I am in the clear by now though. Been planning a trip to go to KY lake for a while now and I'm supposed to leave on Monday but I don't know if that's a good idea. What do you guys think?
I dont know if you should go or not , but I have to ask , did your boy escape its wrath ??
