What scares me about this, and several other things this administration and Democrat controlled Congress are trying to do, is that these people are not listening to the people. As shown in part of the the cited link:

"Dave Pfeiffer, President of Shimano American Corporation explained, “In spite of extensive submissions from the recreational fishing community to the Task Force in person and in writing, they failed to include any mention of the over one million jobs or the 6o million anglers which may be affected by the new policies coast to coast. Input from the environmental groups who want to put us off the water was adopted into the report verbatim – the key points we submitted as an industry were ignored.”

I have always been a firm believer in writing to my elected officials (at all levels) and I believe that, until now, they have listened to the majority. Even Bill and Hillory Clinton backed off Health Care and other subjects, like Gays in the Military, when they saw that the majority of the people were against what they were proposing. These people today are not listening and are going full speed ahead with their Socialist agenda.

I have written letters to every President since, and including, Dwight D. Eisenhower and to most of my Senators and Congressmen during that time. I have always felt my opinion was counted, even if I was not on the majority side, which i frequently wasn't. However, I felt that I was being listened to--TODAY I DON'T FEEL THEY ARE LISTENING!! All of the polls, Town Hall Meeting, Tea Parties, etc. and show people are against the public option in Health Care, and several other things, they are still going ahead like no one has said anything.

As much as I detested Willima H. Natcher, he anwered all of my letters and fully explained why he would vote the way intended to. Since he was a die-hard Democrat and I am an Independent, he frequently wrote something to the effect: "I appreciate you comments and point of view, however, most of my constituents want me to (whatever)." A lot of times he did vote for things I wanted, but either way, I always respected him for fully informing me of why he was for or against a particular subject. Also, it was always point by point, like someone had actually read my letters, not the standard gobeldogook, catch phrase, and reiteration you get today from these simpletons.

As I said in another post I AM SCARED FOR OUR COUNTRY.

This administration is just getting started, you ain't seen nothing yet. These folks are serious Europe wannabes, and anyone who opposes is a right wing racist hate monger.

I go so fired up after I wrote the post above, I copied it, rearranged and reworded some of it, and fired off another letter to Obama telling him TO LISTEN TO US and stop trying to Socialize America.
