Slickhead Down
I shot a doe at 9:00 this morning after missing a shot at daylight. It's pretty tough shooting at 100 yards with open sights downhill.I shot under a mature does belly, but killed the 2nd one at about 60 yards with a lung/heart shot.
I had to be at a family reunion at noon so had to rush to skin and ice it down. What's amazing is that in 4 hours the buzzards found and cleaned up the gut pile leaving only some grass from the stomach and a blood stain.
Try for a buck tomorrow, anybody hear any of those rapid fire muzzle loaders like I did awhile ago?
