    Question about cleaning boats.....

What do you all suggest about cleaning or wiping down your boats when you get them out of the water? I usually just wipe mine down, but sometimes lakes will leave a pretty nasty residue or a film of "gunk" on the hull and it's hard to get some of it off. I've heard of people spraying vinegar and water and some spray windex... Just wondering what some of you guys did...
    Thanks...

    Re: Question about cleaning boats.....

In general, when the boat is not too dirty, I wipe it down with a product called Boat Saver. It's great stuff....cleaner, wax, protectant all in one. U can use it anywhere on/in the boat. If it is really dirty or has a "gunk" line, I wait to wash it at home, then add the Boat Saver with a clean cloth. Kind of like the Karate Kid.......wax on, wax off

+1 on the bass boat saver. The stuff works pretty good. After you've wiped it down with the BBS, a good rub with a dry cloth and it will really shine. Also since I've used it that scum line comes off much easier. I also heard Meguires is coming out with a marine cleaning kit that is supposed to be real good.

Mix purple power degreaser with water and it will clean anything on your boat. I was shocked when I tried it on the Stoner gunk. Clean as a baby's bottom.

I tried the vinegar and water solution last night and it works well. I sprayed it on my motor and it removes water spots easily.
