shimano cumara

OK..........I'm a HUGE Loomis fan..............GLX, IMX, bronzeback, shakeyhead rods, etc, etc........I have 6........

I went to BPS today to do an item for item comparison.......you know what, my next two casting rods, will be Cumara rods............all I can say is WOW.....they are pretty good. I matched Shimano Curado reels on a Cumara an IMX, and a GLX of comparable size/weight. The Cumara matched up well with the GLX, but the GLX is 150 more.....the IMX and CUMARA were really close, practically even, so I think the Cumara with an over the counter replacement warranty seems better.

I still need to purchase a couple and do an on water comparison.......hopefully that will happen soon.

I hear you on being a Loomis fan. I am into double digits with my collection but I went out with Dave this summer and Carolina rigged and jig fished with the Cumara and I think my next one will not be a Loomis. Great feeling rod and with that warrany you can't go wrong. I did read somewhere on the internet where they are so light and brittle they can break easy but again that warranty is there...

FYI saddlebrook outdoors in london has the cumara rods on sale. my wonderful GF just bought one for my birthday
