    Ignore list

How do you go about putting someone on your ignore list?

    What did I do now?!

Click on the User CP, choose "Edit Ignore List" and add their name.

Interesting, I didn't know that option existed!! What happens, or doesn't happen, when someone is on an ignore list?

Can I ignore Mark, but still see his avatar???

Just kidding, I like Mark's posts, most of the time at least.

Ahh, my brother! You should see it from my end since I dumped someone onto my "Ignore List" a couple of days ago. Revenge is sweeter than a warm 'nana puddin.

Sounds like hiding from your problems and pretending they aren't there anymore to me.
Whatever makes you feel good I guess.

Hey, does anybody know, on the board, how you set up an automatic "out of office reply". Do you know how to set one up for somebody else that might be "out to lunch"?

Hey.....if I put myself on the ignore list, does that mean I'll never see my missspllled words?

Kyfanatic, I don't think it is a matter of hiding from your problems and pretending they are not there. It seems to me like a good way to ignore a persistant pain in the posterior, which some people can be for some people. I have seen some running conflicts on this board where two people just constantly butt heads and putting someone on an ignore list would seem like a good idea to me as a way to avoid the agravation of reading posts from someone that is always a contrarian like a little child.

Hmmm....agreed. That way you can't see the nasty things people say to you and you'd have no need to defend yourself. Another way of looking at it, personally, I'd rather see the good and the bad. But that's just me. And ya know sometimes people have to butt heads for a while to come to a truce and a reconciliation. Sometimes its not what is said but how its said. And sometimes when somebody gets attacked, its just time to play around the horns for a little to see if someone see's the futility in being just a little to self-righteous/pushy. That's why I get flippant, to highlight the antagonism I am responding to, and to dance around the horns. Cause seriously, tell me what can happen on this board that really should make me worry too much? Is a forum for discussion, not a dark alley.

No offense intended, we all got our own opionion and I respect yours.
