I am behind the Ottawa Senators now but when I was out in Edmonton I love the Edmonton Oilers when Wayne Gretzky was basically an unknown player but that team was awesome. Man can those boys skate. I think everybody knows Wayne now. I was raised on hockey. Boys played it in the streets in summer and on the River in the winter.
I grew up 35 miles outside Philly, and have been a Flyers fan since the Broad Street Bullies days. I would have loved to have seen the Phillies win, but I'd take a Stanley Cup over a World Series Championship any day.

For those of you on here who might be interested, if you have time on New Year's Day, check out the NHL Winter Classic being played outdoors at Fenway Park. That's right FENWAY. It'll be the Flyers vs. the Bruins, and I can't wait. This is turning into one of the coolest traditions is sports! Last year they played it at Wrigley, and it snowed 3" during the game. The players on the bench were just grinning from ear to ear the whole time; you could tell they were just having a ball, just like a bunch of kids out there. I'd rather watch that game than the Super Bowl, unless maybe the Eagles were in it (even then it would be a tough choice).

He's gonna be fun to watch Tim, and we'll have him for four to buddy. Gonna be some up's and down's this year because of youth, but I'm very excited and think they will have a nice year. Buckles will be a Stud, mark my words.

Now that sounds cool, Roadtoad, I am going to look into that game also. I really love when they do Oldtimers hockey and bring back the greats of years gone by. Now they are not old but in their 40-50's but in sports that is old. I love games like that. Lots of fun. I will be sure to watch that game at Fenway Park. Nice to see your loyality to the Flyers. I was raised on the Montreal Canadiens. Still have a soft spot for them. They were my fathers fav team and the Toronto Maple Leafs were my uncles fav team and when they got to gether that is all they talked and argued about.
