    Re: Herrington in the fall/winter

My cousin catches the fire out of fish at Herrington from October - March. Last month he had some great days and nights catching crappie, flatheads and hybrids. He caught 25 crappie down there on 10/31. He fished for about 2 hrs. The last few nights the flatheads and hybrids have been doing pretty well. He's caught a few flatheads over 10 pounds lately.

I go down there with him from time to time and have done well on crappie. November - first of January has always produced the the weather is cloudy and cooler... Please don't ask where and how he catches them. I don't want to give up his spots and techniques. He's put in lots of time and effort figuring this out over the past several years. I will tell you this... keep an eye on your graph and follow the bait. If you find the baitfish on Herrington you'll be on the fish.

    Good luck!

Don't overlook the johnson silver minnow, vertial jigging when it gets pretty cold.
Been on Herrington when the water would freeze in the guides but caught some
    nice kentuckys. Rocky main points.
