Havn't been to cedar in while, last things i heard was white spinners or crawdad cranks. I also like a worm or a brush hog.

I'm heading to Cedar Creek tomorrow with my 8 year old daughter. Seems she has become quite the bass fishing addict. Our plan is to start in the backs of the creeks with a Johnson silver minnow, something weedless for her right now. Has anyone heard any reports of bait fish movement in the creek shallows. I noticed an up and coming Gizzard Shad population this summer and was wondering where they are now?

Here is my sad but true report.
11-4 found the fish in the grass beds in about 18" of water. The fish seemed to nearly always be in front of the cattails but well off the bank. Caught several short fish on a Johnson spoon. Saw several monster bass (not grass carp) cruising the weeds along with several schools of shad in the 9"-11" but never caught any.
Went back today 11-6, schooling shad still present in the grass beds but not a bass to be found. One lonely 6"-7" bass kept me from getting skunked.
FYI. I planned to fish the grass and thats all I did. The fishing may have been better in the deeper water but I didn't fish it
I may try again tomorrow.
Jeff
