    Anyone used these rods?

Has anyone use the new Skeet Reese rods or the new Abu Garcia Revo rods?

    Any feedback is welcome.

    Thanks

    Re: Anyone used these rods?

A friend of mine got one and I used it for a cast or two. It was a worm/jig rod I think, it seemed like the tip was a little too soft for me. It felt more like a spinner bait or top water rod. I did not like it much. He swore by it.

If your board name is a reflection of the rods you like; I would stick with the Loomis. I am getting ready to build 3 rods from American Tackle that are supposed to be like the Loomis IMX rods but lighter. Ryan.

Thanks. Yes, I do love the Loomis but was curious. I like the split-handle rods and the popular trend now seems to be the high quality $90 rod, so exploring some options

I've heard a few people say the Skeet Reese Rods are fairly heavy.

My buddy bought the shakey head rod and loves it, it is light very sensitive but as commented earlier very soft tip! I have been a fan of Loomis for years but mt son bought me a B&R Outlaw rod and I don't think I will buy another rod other than them. The Medium Heavy 7 footer is just plain awesome, i now have 4! The Skeet Reese rods again are super sensitive b4 you buy one have the store string it up and play with it you'll see
