Greeen crappie report

Fished from 9 to 4 with 8 keepers(biggest 12") using pop-eye tipped with minnow in 18 to 24 foot of water.Caught around 50 to 60 all together .Water temperature was between 56 to 57 degrees.

What has it been, 15 years or so that they imposed the 9" limit? You still catch 50-60 fish and only 8 keepers. Maybe they need to drop the limit down to 12 fish. Oh that won't help either because you can fish all day and not catch 12 keeper fish.

Any better ideas? How do you grow bigger crappie?
