Hey Rich,
I will be on the water Friday and Saturday. I have a procraft, burgandy and black with gold lettering. I plan on putting in at Beaver Creek unless the water is too low, then probably the narrows. If you want, we can compare notes.. I fished Friday and saturday about 3 hours per day. Did ok Friday with 5 in the boat and unbuttoned four on the way to the boat. I cought all my fish Friday on a tube. They were all under 15 inches. Saturday as you mentioned was very windy. Found areas on the leeward side of hills and caught 6 on a fire tiger crank bait,,fat A. Good luck this weekend! Ed

Oh well, time to find new holes I guess. Got out of the wind in a little cove with some boat docks and let the daughter tear up some blue gills, good size ones too. She had a blast. We then picked up anchor and shot over to Peter Creek and hit some coves off of it. Had really good success in one of the coves catching a dozen or so with two keepers (2.5lb and 3.2lb). They were liking a 8" watermelon/red worm T-rigged and dragged slowly. They were relating to the same structure as before, any verticle structure in 7+ft...secondary points. Tried cranks with only a couple shorties, buzzbait produced nothing and neither did a spinnerbait. Water temp was 59.5 with good clarity. Wind was a killer though, hard to fish. Ok though since it was good quality time with the fam. I will hit it solo this next week and try up the barren river, heard the bass are hitting up in there.

I'm in an VIP 17.5ft white with blue/black stripe with a black outboard, I'm the big guy on the front. Say hi if you see me and I'll do the same. I'll let ya know how I do. I plan on heading a new direction and going up the river. I did have some good luck right at the mouth of Peter on secondary points. Hopefully it won't be as windy as last Saturday, that was tough. Good luck.
