Had some luck with the stripers today also. Caught a 35" and a 30". They were feeding heavy way back in the creek.

14" and larger Crappie...man that's nice! I always thought it would be cool to have a nice taxidermy mount displaying four or five large Crappie grouped together.
Yea, I believe I have PM, but didnt see any messages.
That's what I've heard, shallow is the ticket. I sure hope they stay that way through next week. Have the big trip planned on the 18-21st up there. Really would love to get into some of those! I would love to get my friend to catch his first striper....then he would understand why I love them so much! Once you catch one, your hooked! What were they hitting, if you don't mind me asking. Thanks

Where were thew smallmouth?
Yeah-Striper are up shallow running herds of shad out of deep water to the shallows. They will also come out of the deep to do the same thing on the surface. Several of the main creeks have been very productive. Greasey-White oak-faubush.Just find theshad and put a live sucker in the middle of it. Talk to "busketmouth10" about the suckers. Thanks for the tips. I have heard that people are using suckers now, seems to be producing. Might have to get a hold of some of them before the big trip next week. It is so awesome to watch those big stripers come up and go crazy! My heart gets going just talking about it! Can't wait!
