I didn't read the comments she's suing over, but I don't see this lawsuit going anywhere. She has to prove 1) that the comments were false, 2) that the person posting them KNEW they were false, and 3) that she actually suffered a loss as a result. #1 and #2 may be easy (again, I don't know what was posted), but #3 is going to be tough. She is going to have to prove that she lost business as a direct result of those posts, which is going to be difficult at best. And I can tell you right now she's not going to get diddly for "pain and suffering" over something someone posted on the web. That's just ridiculous.
