My son Mason let the ole Ruger .260 bark this mornin around 10am on this dandy buck. He was about 20 minutes behind two does and you could hear him comin a mile away! I told Mason to get ready as I thought it might be a buck as we were setup in a nice funnel loaded with fresh scrapes on 3 old logging roads. Sure enough this dude came strollin in and was about to give us the slip but some light grunts called him to the gun and a short tracking job. We had to stop him three times before Mason could get an open shot. He smoked him at 50 yds! I don't know who was more nervous him or me. I'm so proud of him! This makes all the work in the summer of doing food plots, hang stands and running cams well worth it! However, I did not have one single photo of this guy but while I went to get the ATV another buck about ran over him which I had several pics of from summer. A great day!
