Years ago my father had a farmer freind that always wanted things done exactly the way he wanted. He always give his hired hands specific instructions about how he wanted tasks done but he was also very fair and gave people a warning when they made a mistake and didn't do things his way. He would always give three warnings and then take actions against the person doing something wrong, like firing a hired hand, ending a friendship, etc.
Well, with his attitude it is not hard to believe that he had never been married. But, shortly after he turned forty he met a really nice lady that saw the good in him and overlooked his gruffness. After a short courtship they did get married.
After the ceremony they got in his horse-drawn. wagon and headed for his farm instead of going on a honeymoon. As it turned out, the road was wet from a previous rain and they hadn't gone very far when the horse stumbled.
The farmer said: That's one!! They continued on and after a little while the horse stumbled again and the Farmer said: That's Two! When they were almost to the farm the horse stumbled and fell all the way down on his knees. The Farmer shouted THAT'S THREE, pulled out his pistol and shot the horse in the head.
His new wife was horrified and yelled at him: Why did you kill the horse, all he did was stumble and fall on a muddy road? The Farmed looked at her and said: THAT'S ONE!!
In the last week or so I have received alerts and/or emails about posters on this board going over the line and not following Grumpy's Rule. Since there was a lot of give and take in those posts and the "cuss words" were pretty comon in todays speech. I really didn't take any action except to delete some words or lock a thread. However, when I made the post above that turned out to be Grumpy's Rule, I said that if you people don't tone down the language and discussion I would ask Peter to completely ban political posts.
So listen to me people (and I am sure you know who you are):
THAT'S ONE!!

PS, I was going to name the ones that I got emails and alerts about but decided that since so many of you were so close to the line in the :"Help me open my mind" thread, and some of you even mentioned that you were going over the line, I decided to just LET you each of you figure out that YOU WERE THE ONE I WAS TALKING ABOUT.
