I wonder if other countries allow them in their military? Bad thing is our POTUS has ties to that religion which means trouble. What a cruel joke!

I know you can't do this but I think it's a bad idea to allow muslims into out Armed Services.
Is it just me, or are they responsible for the majority of these mass killings anymore. They obviously don't see things the way we normal people do.
When asked to go and fight for our country that THEY signed up to do, they want to protest and speak out against us and our freedoms. If that doesn't work then they resort to Violent acts to prove their sick agenda. Go ahead call me an uneducated hillbilly conservative, but I DO NOT trust these people or their so called religion, just my two cents.

let me preface by saying i am not trying to belittle the ft hood murders. this was a terrible event, and my heart goes out to the families, and armed services everywhere.
however, saying muslims are responsible for all the mass killings going on is the epitome of stereotyping. first of all, nobody knows the true motive for the ft hood killings, other than the guy was muslim. so if you truely want to dissect these murders and the motives for them, lets do it.
if the major WAS linked to a terrorist organization, dont you think his high rank could have been put to much bigger use? second, if he was truely planning to exact some sort of personal agenda, dont you think he could have planned a much greater attack killing hundreds? this is most likely a guy who decided to serve his country and suffered from a severe internal dilema of service to his country vs. the stereotyping of his people. this in combination with any PTSD or similar disorders could easily account for a severe mental disorder with violent intentions.
so should we ban muslims from our armed forces? well what we hear from our media is how violent muslims are. these reports are based upon the accounts of radical extremists. we never hear about the millions of average people who just so happen to be muslim. they engage in no more, if not less, violent activity than your average american(which just so happens to be one of the most violent "civilized" populations in the world).
remember timothy mcveigh? he was irish catholic, and supposedly exacting revenge for waco, an extremist christian group. he was also in the military. what about the IRA, they're not muslim either. you might also look at the ETA in spain. but what do i know about this stuff?
there is also a little thing called seperation of church and state. this encompasses our head of state and military. what does it matter what religion someone is? THEY ALL have extremist groups, and THEY ALL do rotten stuff, the only difference is the name behind these organization.
i was always told never judge someone until you walk a mile in there shoes.
My opinion for what it is worth that this event at Fort Hood should be held up by the high up Military leaders of the US and Canada and other countries that support the US and fight terrorism and studied. I didnt think Bin Laden was clever enough to get his people into the Military but he will always be able to brainwash and get sympathizers like the fellow at Fort Hood. Many many people and not just Muslims are proud of their roots and have strong religious beliefs. I feel that the majority of Muslims are good religious people however it is the weaker minds that are easily influenced by the radicals. I mean that is how that cult mentality survives. This war has gone on a long time and alot of young muslim men have grown up in North America but with computers they are hold up in their bedrooms watching and listening to the crazy rants of Bin Laden and his boys and are influenced. Their parents have no idea. That is what concerns me. Until the war on terrorism is over and the head of that big huge Bin Laden snake is cut off then Muslims shouldnt be allowed in the Military. Once this war is over then yes I feel they should be reinstated. You never know how your roots and your religious beliefs can drive people over the edge. Fort Hood is an example and I do hope your President takes a serious look at this.

Why didn't all these millions of peaceful Muslims denounce how their religion is being sterotyped from the start?
Why don't they put on a HUGE pr campaign to show how peaceful they are as a whole?
I don't give two squats about how the radicals look and if a few peaceful ones get grouped in there then who actually cares? Do you think the thousands of families who have been affected by these nut jobs have the luxury of sitting back and trying to cast fair opinions about their loved ones killers?
Tim mcveigh? Really? Did he and his groupies continue to kill innocent people?
Are you feeling guilty of our great country? You talk like a Liberal...it's everyones fault but the people who do the crimes. Kill em send them back to their homeland and have a nice day!
It all sure seems weired to me...the guy was a Muslim AND he was an American??? Took the oath to serve our country...our country put him through school, etc...and then he starts truly hating the war in Iraq...starts getting back to his roots by wearing those robes out in public, etc...I sure as heck wish the people around him would have halted his behavior in it's tracks as soon as he showed the first signs of being against anything the U.S. was for. Yea I know we're not supposed to judge others, etc...but dag gone...those muslim people have fought and fiught since the beginning of time haven't they??
This may be getting off the subject a bit...but this so called "war on terror"...are we making any headway at all? It sure doesn't seem like it to me...we're still losing guys every week and it's been going on for how long now, 8 YEARS??!!
Don I agree with 100% on your point about why aren't the good religious Muslim leaders standing up and denounceing what this man did? When Sept 11th, 2001 occured many prominant Muslim leaders voiced their opposition to BinLaden and his radicals and I thought that was a good thing to do. But they should not have stopped UNLESS they have changed their minds. For all the weaker minds like this shrink soldier and other Muslims in service, those Muslim leaders need to denounce the terrorists and promote peace and promote the great country they live in. THey need to stand up as a group and now is the a great opportunity to do so!!
I HAVE A QUESTION, IF ISLAM IS FOR PEACE WHY DO ARE THEY ALWAYS BLOWING UP THINGS AND KILLING PEOPLE?![]()
Patrick I didn't say they did all the killings, in fact I made sure I didn't word it that way, reread my original post. I was taught by my parents that all people are the same and should be treated with respect if they deserve it. I do my best to live my life that way.
However I do not trust the Muslim religion, for me it stands for Hate. If you don't agree with what they say you are a Infidel and should die. After 911 I watched countries that were suppose to be our Allies stay silent. In fact Saudi Arabia didn't have the Nads to say one sorry thing about it one way or another. For me that means they secretely Condone it.
The Palestinians danced in the streets burning our Flags??
I'm like Don, this political correct crap needs to get sidelined. In my Mother and Fathers day, the WWII generation, which by the way was the greatest generation of Americans to ever breath, not debatable, just fact this type of garbage would not have been tolerated. I personally feel it's time for the law abiding, God fearing true blue American citizens to take back this country from the grasps of these liberal weiner nutjobs.
Place the father back in the home with the dicipline he provides, and don't second guess him unless he's over the line.
Put Corporal punishment back in the schools and tell the parents if they don't like find another school.
Put God Almighty and the Ten Commandments back in the schools and make kids feel like it's a privledge to pray for a better tomorrow not shun and hide.
Make Henaous crimes punished with Death and carry it out without 50 appeals.
I'm sorry I don't trust Muslims and I may never be able to. That doesn't make me a racial bigget, it just makes causiously intelligent in my eyes.
Sorry for the rant.
just so you know, i am not a liberal, if anything i believe more-so in the conservative side. i believe very strongly in the constitution, and i love this country. i love having the freedom to be able to speak out against social problems, like violence. my biggest love of all though, which is why i have chosen my life's path, is standing up for those who cannot, and protecting those who are defenseless. i have and always will be the one who stands up against wrongs in this country that i love so dearly.
maybe i did misunderstand this, and you are entitled to your own opinion. issues like this really get under my skin, and i usually try and stay out of them, i see this as a serious social problem due to the fact that some people take it too far(not directed at anyone, just saying).
and as far as mistrust, that is your right. the only reason i even chimed in, is because there are plenty of good, allah fearing people out there, i know because i have met them. and there are plenty of bad ones as well, i have met them too.
the one thing i wanted to get across is that, there are good and bad of all people.

Do I feel they are all bad........Of course I don't I've tried my best to convey that. I also feel you are probably a fine young fellow that believes what he's saying and has the guts to say it, so good for you.
What I said was I don't trust them, that's my right. If you walked into a real dark alley at night and ran across a group of crackheads asking you for a ride to the store would you do it?? Hopefully you wouldn't, but by your logic you might.
They are putting the DC sniper to death today or tonight, good riddens, take wild guess what religion he practiced.
In closing I do not think ALL muslims are violent murdering SOB's, but the lawabiding ones sure seem awfully quiet when something like this happens. Do you really know what's in their heart....................................I don't either, thus the cautious unrest towards them.
