My father and I fished Cumberland last evening and this morning. Bass (spots) were actively feeding in very large schools on points of main creeks. I fished a Heddon "Torpedo" exclusively since they never stopped hitting it. We caught roughly 40 fish in about 3.5-4.0 hrs of fishing for both days. I had assumed that they were feeding on the threadfin shad but every fish that puked, had been eating skip jacks about 2.5" long. Thats not to say they weren't feeding on shad as well.
Last evening was overcast and temps in the low 50's
This morning again was overcast with temps in the mid 40's
Sorry guys but I never checked the water temp.
Stripers were in the jumps in the main creeks but I could'nt get them to take artificial baits.
