Tis the season of running and gunning. It seems every year we have to run to different houses during the holiday's and I vowed that one year I am just going to tell everyone that we will pick one house and that is it but rotate every year. With thanksgiving at my house for my wife's family at noon Thursday, at my Dad's house 90 miles away at 6pm Thursday then my Sister's house Saturday for my family on my Mom's side seems all we do is drive place to place. Christmas is worse considering my ex-wife's schedule, her husbands schedule, my mom's, my dad's, my mother in laws and my wife's family all having different schedules. Throw in the fact that this year it is feeding tubes for me and I can't eat anything makes it worse sitting at all these places watching other eat a big meal. Add in that I am cooking a bunch of food for Thursday, yes I do all the cooking in my house, cooking Broccoli Casserole and Stuffing for both my Dad's that night and my Sister's on Saturday, I learned my Grandmother's recipe for both and everyone loves them so I am asked every year to make these even though I can cook just about anything, and I spend a lot of time behind the stove when not running. The best part of Thanksgiving this year will be Friday when I get to go to one place and fish daylight to dark then come home. Just don't look forward to the holidays that much because of all the running and gunning. I am done now with the pitty party.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Here is to hoping you all get the Wishbone from the Turkey, find a partner to hold the other end, make a wish, pull and you get the big side of the wishbone.

Happy Thanksgiving to all...to everyone from Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama and even our friends up in Canada (even though they celebrated their day of Thanks about a month ago).

I know I sure have a LOT to be thankful for...I bet I could spend an entire day sitting down and writing about everything I have to be thankful for and STILL wouldn't cover everything.

Elnuts - For me all that running and gunning is the worst part of the Holiday...and I sort of vowed quite a few years ago to not do that. Instead we have Thanksgiving at our house and anyone and everyone is welcome, both families, friends, who ever. However this year is different...my dad ain't doing all that great health wise and I know he really don't feel like being around a bunch of people, most particularly the one's he only see's once in a blue moon anyway. So this year I'm picking my mom and dad up and taking them out to my sister's place for a small Thanksgiving...in the mean time at my house will still be occupied with whoever shows up. hich is fine by me as long as the dishes are clean when I return this evening. LOL
