I'll go along with you and Don on this one. This is how I feel.Don, you and I need to spend a little time together in a bass boat, then followed up by several, several cold Miller Lites just before we hit the Wordford.
I find it funny we keep feeding and housing those who don't want to work. I'm not talking about the people who have fallen on hard times and need a little help so they can get back on their feet. How can you spot these people just look for the people who have several generations on assistance and never had a job.
If you start feeding wild animals pretty soon they stop hunting for food and look for you to feed them always.
Some people can be the same way.
Greenriverman you are more than welcome, the more the merrier. When are you all ready? That is a good point about the wild animals.
I cant argue your point, theyre will always be someone abusing any program. I try and see the overall picture and alot of people in this country need help. We are afterall the richest nation on the planet and I think igroring the poor isnt an option. If you think everyone who has a job has healthcare you are mistaken. Wal-Mart is an excellent example, they make Billions and offer healthcare but to get it you pretty much work for free. There is too much greed in this country and if healthcare is not overhauled pretty soon their wont be a middle class, just the super rich and the super poor.
You need to tell this somewhere else SlippedCork...I think everyone here knows that all employee's do not get insurance, healthcare, etc...but I'll tell you what...I know of at least one or two dirt bags (people who don't work or do work occassionally but can't seem to hold anyone job for very long) that whenever they get something wrong with them all they have to do is go to University Hospital in Downtown Louisville and guess what? They don't get turned away, they get the treatment they need all based upon their income. Sure as heck makes me think we have a free healthcare system in place already.
C'mon 2012!!!
You are correct! Thats the biggest part of the problem, expecting the hospitals to cover the bill. They will cover the cost and pass it on to everyone else, sound familiar? You need to tell this somewhere else SlippedCork...I think everyone here knows that all employee's do not get insurance, healthcare, etc...but I'll tell you what...I know of at least one or two dirt bags (people who don't work or do work occassionally but can't seem to hold anyone job for very long) that whenever they get something wrong with them all they have to do is go to University Hospital in Downtown Louisville and guess what? Chub you are 100% correct. I see it first hand almost everyday. Just curious slipcork what do you do for a living? I think most people on here will agree with me. I also think most Americans who have a regular job will also agree with me.
Since when has raising taxes ever been a good idea?
Since you asked I work for a class 1 railroad. I also think most on HERE agree with you. I know more americans voted for a change, obama that is. If you make 200,000 a year then I can see why you wouldnt want your taxes raised, you couldnt afford it.Chub you are 100% correct. I see it first hand almost everyday.
