I'd still like to know how you got the stripers to bite when there are so many little shad around. We got a couple dragging suckers, but it took forever.
PS
We dont have the accomadations for tents ( bath house and such) but if you get a camper, come give us a try.
You run a campground or something? Give me the name and I'll look ya up for the next trip.
It wasn't easy finding stripers that would look at anything else but a 2 inch shad. We had to change locations and then it only happened at a specific hour, right before dark. I think with the low light conditions, they are easier to trick into biting something else. It was fun, I'm going back this weekend. I'll report back.

We love to fish for stripers, but have experienced the same as you. Small bait and hard to get'em to bite. Good luck this weekend. Work continues to get in the way of fishing!!
