    Gary bouvier benefit tournament

This is a copy and paste from the indianasmallmouth site. Come out and freeze your butt off for a good cause.

    GARY BOUVIER BENEFIT TOURNAMENT 11-22-09
by Josh McDermott on Sun Nov 01, 2009 9:33 pm

    Where? Morse Resevoir, Noblesville Indiana.
    When? 11-22-09
    Time? Registraion begins at 6:30 a.m. Tournament hours are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Cost? $60.00 per boat with $10.00 going to Big Bass.
Payout? 50 percent payout with the other 50 percent going directly to the family of Gary Bouvier. Payout based on # of boats fishing.
Why? Because this is what we do as human beings! When someone of a family is in need we all seem to gather together and do what we can as a group for folks and who knows, it might be one of us who needs it someday.

We will have a TON of door prizes, a 50/50 drawing and a post tournament dinner where we will present Garys family with a check to help them through this terrible time. The official pay-out will also take place at the dinner where bragging rights and some cash will definately be the talk!!!!!

Do you have to be a member of Indiana Smallmouth or is it truly an open tournament? Sounds like a good cause and good opportunity to get out for a bit.

    Thanks!

Open to everyone, the more the better. Gary had passed away and left behind his wife and 6 yrs old son and lot of bills. If unable to fish, donation would be accepted by mail to the address on the pre-registration form below.

Thanks for posting this LAnce. I hope some of you have a chance to come out and fish. There will be a chili dinner following the tourney. Here is Gary's blog, and in it you will find some more info on the goings on.

For anyone interested, there were 11 boats that turned out for the event. 13lbs took it to win and 3 other boats had over 10lbs. The boat that won had a sack with couple of smallies that were huge!

For the rest of us, it was junk fishing at its finest with fish hitting crankbaits, jerkbaits, chatter baits, and jigs. Even caught a few dinks off a wacky worm. For late November, it was a good day on the water.

Our fish fell victim to a blade bait, crankbait, and a jig. We had 12.92 with a nice smallie in our sack. It was my understanding that the winners had ALL smallies AND one of them was big bass. Our big bass was 3.36 I believe and that was a greenie!! Thanks to all who showed up and donated to a deserving family. And it was an awesome day to be on the water!!
