Water temp is mid 50's every where I went. I did manage 6 fish on the fly but I had to work for them. 1-6" smallie, 2-17" smallies, 1-17" largemouth, 1-18" smallie, and finally my personal best for the fly a 22" smallie. I bet she went close to 5 1/2lbs. I would post a pic but I have not figured how to get them from my phone yet. I wish someone would have joined me because I think I had 4 heart attacks trying to land the big girl by myself. Man I love the fly!!!

I'm with you on the fly. I love it to. It can be interesting trying to get them in the net when you are by yourself. I think I actually calm down and play the fish a little better when I'm by myself. I don't get in a hurry to net it. Good job.

Save those 22 inch 5 1/2 lb Smallies for Sat and Sun when we fish the Billy Tourney at Dale. That fish goes a LONG way in winning Big Fish on either day. Nice fish, glad to see you are getting your FNF in order because in looking at the forecast, that is what we will throw all tourney long. I will call you tomorrow night. Elnut

I am about 95% sure that I am but will know for sure tomorrow. figure it is the first year since 2005 that I am not physically in the hospital on the weekend of the tourney so what the heck. We catch 2 unders each day minimum and we will finish in the top 15 and possibly the top 10 if this year is like years past. Let us catch 1 over and 4 unders and I will take that and never leave the marina. but you know I will be tring for a couple overs each day. My #1 honey hole has been VERY good to me the past couple of years and with the lake level like it is now should produce better this year. Hoping for 1 over on both days from that spot alone but Fishing is Fishing so we will see. If Dave Stewart and I can finish next to last in a tourney on Ky Lake, 1 small keeper is all we boated, like we did a couple of years ago after catching over 20lbs the day before pre-fishing then anything can happen in Fishing. Won't be my first tourney win or my first tourney blank or my first tourney middle of the pack finish so we will see.
