Not at all. My point is that you cannot just take what was written 2500 years ago and assume that all people today follow word for word what was written years ago. For example, Leviticus has details on how to conduct animal sacrifice. I doubt you'll find any Christian these days doing that. You can look at how modern Christians, and any other religion, view things. That is the norm today. Likewise, not all Muslims will follow word for word what was written in the Koran. Same thing.

* Radical Muslims strap bombs to their body and KILL Christians and Jews.
* Radical Muslims even target Non-Radical Muslims due to their beliefs.
* Radical Muslims STILL STONE women to death for looking at another male.
* Radical Muslims STILL TRADE their female children off like livestock.
* Radical Muslims STILL require them to be covered head to toe.

So where Christians and Jews have adapted........RADICAL MUSLIMS have not.

While there are cases of radical Christians and Jews, you will NEVER convince me that it is EVEN remotely compared to the Muslims.

Getting back to the original subject, the training camps, I do want to say thanks to Bug for starting this thread. This is important information, and I for one didn't know about them.

Grumpy, No offense, but I can also pull out many quotes from the Old Testiment that are similar. Everything from someone being stoned to death because he was collecting firewood on a Sunday to whole towns being wiped out (men, women, and childern) because God told the Isralites to do so. One can look at how Christians lead peaceful lives and do not agree with the killing of others. I think you'll find the same for the majority of Muslims.

You are correct Bug. A bad choice of words on my part. My point was that we do not know for sure yet if the Fort Hood attack was solely a terrorist attack or that of a loaner with a grudge acting out violently like other such attacks. It may also be the case that in the Fort Hood case it is a mix of both. I would like to see all of the evidence on this before making a comment.

I also agree with you that it is most definitely a responsibility of any administration to keep Americans safe from attacks both from abroad and home. Like RoadToad, I gotta believe the FBI and CIA are taking a good look at these camps and keeping quiet until they find some actionable intelligence. RoadToad makes some good points concerning the camps and says it better than I could.

I believe, according to news reports, that the FBI seized Hasan's (the Ft Hood terrorist) computers and found that he was regularly sending emails to Pakistan, to the same terrorist leader who is directing the terrorist training camps in the United States. "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck........."

Moreover, when Hasan's trial is held in civil court instead of military court, we all may find out to what extent the the terrorists are willing to go. The same can be said of the Guantanamo prisoners when they are transferred to US prisons and tried in civil court. With those prisoners will come a load of problems.

The Ten Commandments were not given 2500 years ago; they were given in 1451 BC or 3,470 years ago. I agree with most everything else you wrote.

Geo, I agree, Radical Muslims typically are more extreme that what we have seen with other radicals. Extremists of any type are just that, extremists. I would not judge the majority of any group based on the actions of a few extremists.

Bug, I agree that there is certainly evidence that Hasan has had contact with extremists and may have even been acting on their behalf. I have also seen reports stating that those around him thought he was not quite stable. The big question is, which one of those (terrorist, unstable and disgruntled) led to the attack? Or was it a combination of both? Best to know all of the facts as they may help indentify a future problem before it happens. I had always heard that the bible was written around 2500-2600 years ago. I'm interested in where you came up with 1451 BC for my own learning.
