My Pennsylvania Dutch mother just got a new boat. She decided she didn't need a new truck to pull it.

Amish are some fishing fools. If you get them started in a small body of water they will clean it out to, they litterally KEEP EVERYTHING.
I just wish they would discover deodorant, I'm sorry Lord for that one, but it's true.
Wow! I go to an Amish community pretty often and those people are always clean and fresh. They have their own fish ponds and also raise a lot of prawns but I guess not all Amish are like the community I visit.
I found it amusing that they used "horse power" to pull the boat but the boat has a motor instead of paddles. I enjoyed the picture.
Well Bug let me tell ya. I think they are clean and fresh to EARLY in the morning. Go to the McDonalds in Liberty Ky, or Russell Springs in August around Noon or so get your food and drag up a chair right beside a group of them ole boys and tell me how long you can take it? Been there done that SEVERAL times and know now what to steer clear of. They work hard in them wool clothes and they don't believe in any kind of human masking scents as they feel it's not Godly.Wow! LOL I guess a "horse power" is a "horse power" huh? Plus horses are hard to handle in the water...eventually they drown.Wow! They only use the motor to organize funerals. Its hard to set-up a WAKE with oars.
Sign behind an Amish carriage:
“Energy efficient vehicle. Runs on grass and oats. CAUTION: Avoid exhaust!”
Q: What do you call an Amish guy with his hand up a horse’s nose?
A: A Mechanic.
Last one:
An Amish boy and his father were visiting a mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and back together again.
The boy asked his father, "What is this father?" The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is."
While the boy and his father were watching wide-eyed, an old lady limping slightly with a cane slowly walks up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady walks between them and into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched, small circles of light with numbers above the wall light up.
They continued to watch the circles light up in the reverse direction.
The walls opened up again and a beautiful 24-year-old woman stepped out.
The father said to his son, "Go get your Mother."
I want to see her back it down the ramp.My Pennsylvania Dutch mother just got a new boat. She decided she didn't need a new truck to pull it.

Funny picture. The Amish around here are a little more "liberal" than the ones in eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. I don't think any of them would have dared use a motorized boat. What surprised me is that the boat is painted blue. Believe it or not, there are some Amish in the Ohio Valley that will actually own and drive cars, but they always paint them entirely black, including the chrome.
