Question on Guntersville Lake

Thinking of making a trip to Guntersville Lake in the spring and wanted some opinion's on the best time to go since I have never been before. Would you go in late Feb or early March? Which section of lake has been good early in the year? Thanks for any help.

we go the last of march thru the first of april every year . we have been going down there for about 15 years or so . we usually fish the middle of the lake from towncreek up to above goosepond . hope this helps you some the weather is usually the biggest factor this time of year.

Depends on if you want a chance to catch a 8 or 9 pound fish (pre-spawn) or are you going for numbers. If you want to catch the hogs go around end of Feb. through mid March (depending on weather). If you want to catch large numbers of fish go end of march through April (again depending on weather).
