I am one of those guys who thinks he has every bait he needs and I probably have enough bait to make some good money at a flea market but it never fails that I never have what I need when I am on the water. For instance topwater frog fishing, fish are busting green frog with orange belly but sun tucks behind clouds and I dont have anything darker or I have caught a limit on a firetiger Norman deep little N but lost it and dont have another. This winter I am going to buy 20-40 bucks of bait a week to stock up for next years fishing trips. Jigs, crankbaits, frogs, spooks, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and a few plastics. This way when I get back out on the water I should be ready for greenfish combat!! Plus baits are on sale during the winter and early spring so you can get some good deals if you look hard enough. I have a week off at the end of Dec and if the water is not frozen solid by then I may get the boat out one more time and try to catch a few at Stoner. Have not been since August and I have the bug BAD!!
