Anyone know of any fishing holes in the east end of Louisville?

Miles Park pond #4 is my favorite, but Long Run is nice, too. Both have some nice bass (not spectacular, but nice) and catfish. Long Run has a few keeper-size crappie. Miles gets stocked Spring and Fall with rainbows. Fisherman's Park in J'Town is fun, also, and it also gets stocked with trout. Last, and least, there's the pond by the prison in La Grange. My impression of that place is it used be good, but has been mostly fished out.
At exit 28 of I71 is a pay lake called Lake Jerico. Great place to bring the family!!
Yup, Jericho is a real nice spot. And they have pics of some nice fish that have come out of there, although I've never caught much (which isn't saying much). But it's not a pay lake. They charge an entrance fee, but you still have to have a license.
who maintains the lake?
I think it's a family-run operation, but I couldn't tell you what family. Whoever it is does a nice job. They've got a nice little campground there, too. They rent rowboats for $20/day (been a couple years, it may have gone up) and as small as that lake is, that's all you need. When I go, I just rent one of those and bring a trolling motor. They do have a ramp there too, though. Not sure what the hp restrictions are. And they sell minnows, nightcrawlers, and wax worms at the gate.
The lake is owned by the government but run by a family
that lives there-some sort of lease agreement.
I think the sign said owned by the "soil conservation" branch,
whatever that is.
No HP restrictions, but it is idle speed only for the entire lake.![]()
