22 inches and skinny as a rail you'll still be around 4lb. Check your scales Michael on a gallon of water and see if they are off. I have caught smallmouth out of Cumberland before that were 22 inhes and barely weigh over 4lb's. Some of them are thin if you look straight down on them, from the sides they look decent but are thin.
Still though a 22 inch is a nice smallmouth bass none the less, some just weigh more than others.
