50% of the reason I like UL is because of Pitino being the coach, the other 50 is state school. When I found out Pitino was going to UL it scared the crap out of me. I wasn't mad. I thought they would beat us every game. It just hasn't worked out that way. Never mad at Pitino. I bet if you could get a true answer, I bet he wished he would have stayed at UK. Water under the bridge and we have Cal. Two of the top coaches period in KY. UK still rocks.

I watched an interview online and he said in a nutshell....he wasn't going to leave UK for coaching the Boston Celtics at 25 million but when they offerred 50 million and an executive position he couldn't pass it up.
He later realized that leaving was a mistake even with the money...I can't imagine turning down 25 mill and then someone doubling the offer. Man thats good business! Some people got it like that.
