    Question Rough or Nolin?

I posted this on another forum, but I thought I would ask here too:

I am fishing for crappie in the morning, but I can't decide where to go. I have been catching them from Rough River Lake this year, but with the water down, I am not sure where to put my boat in. I have never fished for crappie on Nolin Lake, but I know where some likely spots would be.

    Suggestions?

I would go to rough people on nolin are having a hard time finding the crappie. Rough anyway is 5.8feet over winter pool. If you do not know nolin much I would not try to fish it during the winter is also 5.3feet over winter pool.

I would like to go to Rough, but there is no accessible boat ramp close to where I want to fish. I don't know the whole lake, so I would be going in blind if I put in at the state ramp.

Have you tried the north fork ramp? I haven't been down there in a while but it should be open. Call Rubbies River Shack they are right across the street from the ramp and would be able to tell you if its open. They should have minnows too. Nice people too.

My family goes every July and I know it is a different time of year but we always catch quite a few bass and blue gill.
