    Patoka info

Hey everyone. I have a random question a lot of you may be able to help with. I am looking to buy a lot near patoka lake, closer to the lake the better. They would have to allow campers. I've been thinking about this for awhile so any hints on where to look? I would most likely leave the camper there year around so sewer/septic and electric are a must. Thanks in advance.

There are camps for sale in an area called Wildwood, they have a clubhouse with showers and several lakes for members. It is not far from Painter Creek or Walls lake ramps.
To get to Wildwood take old State Road 64 just outside of English, turn beside the English golf course on to Brownstown Road. Continue on Brownstown Road for 12 miles or so – just follow that road – it winds around it will change names and numbers but it is the same road, goes thru Ethel, crosses Kings Bridge over Patoka, etc, when you come to Stout’s Restaurant on your right side - Wildwood is on both sides of the road.

Do you know if there is sewer, electric and water hookups for the 5th wheel on each lot?

Even closer is Wildridge resort just outside the main entrance to the park. Patoka Larry on here has a camper there.
There is also a place on 145 just north of 164. Don't know much about it but there are several campers, trailers and small cabins there.
Wildwood probably has the cheapest sites.

They also build and sell small log cabins. I have been though some of the model log cabins and thought they would be nice.

The water is turned off at Wildridge around early November. So you will still have electricity but you won't have any water there. Unless you haul in your own water. Most everyone has to winterize their campers water and sewage lines each winter.

Wildridge is the camp at the main entrance at Newton Stewart.

Some sites have septic - no sewer system extended to the area. Most sites have electric and some are on Patoka Lake water system - it's not too expensive to have either one brought in if you find a site you like that doesn't have them - but there are sites there for sale that have all three.
