    Bobby Knight speaks about Calipari

"We've gotten into this situation where integrity is really lacking and that's why I'm glad I'm not coaching," he said. "You see we've got a coach at Kentucky [John Calipari], who put two schools on probation and he's still coaching. I really don't understand that.:

Hmmmm a chair throwing, college kid neck grabbing, sceaming and no respect having monster of a coach saying that? LOL!!!.....Seriously, I always liked B.K. and his old school way of taking charge of kids. I wish he wouldn't have said that publicly though. Isn't there a code of honor amoung coaches and ex-coaches? Is Coach Cal guilty cause BK says so but the NCAA says he has been cleared??
I mean that has a hint of hypocrisy doesn't it? Did I miss something? Just curious.

I think he was trying to make a point and Calipari was the obvious poster child to use as an example.

Do I agree with everything Knight did........No not at all. But I will say I truely like the man. He goes too far sometimes but almost all of the kids he coached went on to great things in life that speaks volumes to me. I to like the old school I think it's much better than this............whatever it is they do now a days, lol.

Hey Don, Nancy Pelosi has never been completely caught at anything illegal but I bet you don't trust her. That's how alot people feel about Calipari,'' I refuse to call him ''Coach Cal'', that's just Gay. Time will tell and I don't wish bad on UK but with this guy I would be.....''Afraid Very Afraid'', matter of time in my opinion.

bobby knight used COACH CAL as a way to take a shot at UK. i dont think knight has ever really cared for our program. its funny how it bothers him more now that hes not coaching than it did when he was. i guess nobody broke the rules under the "Generals" watch. it seems now that things are looking good for UK again, everyone wants to find a way to keep them down. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!

Skeeter, actually if you read the book "Season on the Brink" he makes reference to UK and rules during the season. Steve Alford was suspended for a game by the NCAA for appearing on a calendar for charity. Knight made a comment like: "I can't believe with have to set this kid and look at what they do at Kentucky."

Ironically, this was a season before UK got busted under Eddie Sutton.

LOL!!!!! Good ole Bob Knight. I think he's in need of some air time. What better way to get it. Hope he's prepared for the wolves......

Time will tell as it always does. Don't think for one minute as the vultures circle waiting for the corpse to die, that it will. Nowadays too many looking for wrong doing for too much of any doing to be wrong. If it's done it will be found and pounced on quick, not down the road. Listen to the radio show on 590 AM at 6pm. Interesting foresight.

Folks don't understand some of the persona of UK fans. We had Pitino...Pitino ball. The excitement. High power. High intensity....Then there way Tubby. Me, personally, couldn't stand his style of play. Heck I thought UK was going after "No Dose" for a sponsor. Then Billy Clyde. Heck he wasn't up here 3 wks and had to be fished out of a pool at Griffin Gate with his suit on......And took home by a booster....
Now we have Cal...He has brought back to us what Pitino took with him. The excitement.....Whose to say why Rick never played Derek Anderson in that game that time?????
I bleed UK BLUE but as I have always stated my favorite coach coaches 70 mile west.

AS far as Bobby Knight, who cares???? Really..

He did I agree. Bobby was no Saint that's for sure.
I want to be clear on something. I did not Like Calipari EVER, no matter where he coached.
So this is not a ''Wish bad on UK'' Thing from me at all and I swear that is the truth.
I wasn't a UK fan at the time but I loved Joe B. Hall, still do, how can you not like Coach Hall.
I respect Rick Pitino as a basketball coach and motivator but quite frankly as I've stated on here before I don't care for him as a person at all.
    He's arrogant
    He's completely full of himself
He wears 1500 dollar suits and I think that is ridiculous.
    He cheats on his wife
As a coach though he demands effort and coaches a style that will flat get your heart pumping. I have always loved the in your face PITBULL defense.

Does it bother anybody that UK has a coach with two final four appearances and neither one of them even count?? Everywhere the man has ever been a dark cloud seems to follow about ethics and cheating. Is it just bad luck? Is it just somebody out to get him and he's totally innocent of all charges or allegations? Are other coaches and institutions just jealous.

Why did Roy Williams pass on John Wall? That's right sports fans Ky was his second choice, he wanted to be a Tar Heel badly.
Why did it take World Wide Wes to take Wall to Detroit to pass the required tests to enter college. Why did he fail miserable twice only to ace it the third time if he is the Rhode Scholar Calipari keeps painting him out to be? Why does Calipari continue talking about that every chance he gets??
Why does all the top 20 players in America want to play for Calipari, is he really all that and a can of soup? Actually his coaching abilities are decent at best.

Sorry to be so wordy but these are all the things that have made me look upon John Calipari with a suspicous eye for so many years, and WAY WAY before he ever became a Wildcat.

Fan interaction by Calipari toward the fans took some of the hatred from me.

He is a personable fellow for sure. He did one heck of a job selling hisself to the UK faithful I will certainly give him that. He probably won't be in the Hot tub with players girlfriends or have three DUI'S in six months either like the last guy, lol.

Poor ole Billy Clyde what a Hooch Hound, Horn Dog, gotta somehow have a soft spot for the old fellar I guess, I know I do, lol.
