A tragic loss

After a valient effort, I need to reprt on the loss of a dear friend. My 1/2 oz pedigo spin rite, with raggedy white maribou tail. Gone to a submerged snag. I tried, but realized that my lure retriever was not in the boat. 20lb braid and 15lb flouro leader couldn't get it free, 15 ft of water, sulphwer creek, adois dear friend. Whjy dosn't anyone make these anymore?

You must hire a dive team, the Navy seals or whatever it takes to recover that lure.

For future refference, Dale hollow has TONS of divers that frequetly dive for various items...props and what not. If you GPS your bait in the summer you can get some of us to go get your FAVORITE bait. I know cause I do it for my own. I mark way points and come back in the middle of the summer. BAMM there she blows. Winter time waypoints usually only works with hangups not lost items such as rings and glasses. The current claims those items.

On a side note I thank all of the fisherman who just pull, and pull, and pull until the lines break leaving 15 dollar baits dangling for me to collect in the summer time. It's my personal Bass Pro Shop at 20 ft deep.

i rekon its bout 35ft+ summer depth.It just showwed as a blob on my sonar.

When experienced and the right cold water gear.....under 60 ft is no problem. My uncle has a salvage business he has rubbed some stuff my way. The deeper ya go, the harder it becomes to find though. It becomes DANG COLD and dark at about 35 ft. Just a thought though.

It's hard for all of us who suffer such a loss. The loss of a dependable friend is never taken lightly and I hope you find consolation knowing that it is in a better place. You must move on and endure this life without it. It would want you to remember the happy times and not dwell on this tragic event. It would want you to find another to help you in your Journey through life and be happy and some day in the afterlife the two of you can enjoy sweet memories again. Go in Peace.

I can relate. I am fortunate in that I have a rubber maid bin full on them new on the cards. I have them in 3 colors yellow,black,white. These came to my by way of the fishing Gods and are treated as such.gold son, pure gold. I do not mean to rub salt in your wound, I just want you to know they are still out there and that they can be had. At last count I think I had 62 of them.If you are lucky and pray to the fishing gods or Santa, maybe just maybe, by slim chance a truck load, or just one, will come your way.
