Where to put in at Nolin????

Looking at getting out on Nolin on Monday. Anyone been there within the past week and can tell me which ramps are open in the areas that are producing fish? Which techniques are working right now...if any. I have only one day to fish so I would like to travel about an hour and a half from Gene Snyder and I-65. Barren is a possible but I have never been there before. I just recently, within the past four months, bought a boat and have been trapped at Dale HOllow....I know, what a place to be trapped. My familes boat was stored at Holly Creek. I never got a chance until now to explore other lakes other than the average summer running around on Nolin with a buddy. I want to fish other lakes and am wondering about the good winter lakes. Nolin, Rough, Barren.....any other I am forgetting. NOT THE DEAD SEA......I don't go to Taylorsville, it doesn't like me very much.

Good morning, I`d say if you was going to Nolin I`d put in at Moutidear. It`s a good ramp and up from the dam about 3 miles. It should have clear water for you. I can tell you where some great starting place to try to help you cut down on your time while your there. What kinda places are you looking for? Brair Creek is one place to start. It`s deep with standing timber, nice points. If you`d like you can call and maybe give you some places to start at. I`m in Shepherdsville and we have a place on Brair Creek,,,just give me a PM

Green River Lake is another possibility. I like Green, especially in the winter, because they don't drop it nearly as much as the others. Only seven feet versus 25 to 30 feet at Nolin, Barren or Rough. You may not like Taylorsville but that is another one I like in the Winter, also because they don't drop it as much. I have done well there from December thru March but only fished it a few times at other times, mainly because it is too crowed.
