Was able to get one over 22, today the biggest so far this week, hard winds, made it tuff to fish this spot. This fish came near the channel, near accordian Using livebait in nearly 40 ft. of water temp was 46. The other picture shows some points b4 accordian close to 100ft of water this fish came off slopping rock an shell. The big fish are there for the taking!

Most locals and regulars fish for one thing this time of year, that big one. Big fish, stay close to the channel, I fish where there is a distinguished contour change, look at your maps electronics and keepin the bait in the water it will happen. Note I dont need blowing snow rain chop & cloud cover, IM fishing at least 40 ft. or more w/live bait those conditions, only keep me from my target range.it must be nice to live so close to the best smallmouth fishing in the country. really like reading your post. and the pictures are nice to see also. i don't get to fish dale to often. maybe three or four times a year. but i think i've seen the points in your photo before. but maybe not. anyway thanks for taking the time to post the report and photos. and merry christmas.
