    Rich I also use left handed bait casting[have rights also], its natural to switch to from spinning gear.Now for the other, I use 15/4 braid, with a four ft or better seagar 15lb leader. You get good distance, and great hook ups because the stretch factor is nil;just tone down the hook set, and keep a moderatly loose drag.

    Yeah, it helps using the left-handed baitcasters to keep my hands doing what they are used to doing (left crankin, right setting)....however, I just can't get totally comfortable with a reel on top of my reel seat, instead of below. With my spinning gear, I have my right hand grasped completely around the cork handle, with the bait caster, my right hand has some fingers around the cork handle and some on top of my baitcaster....feels different to me. Oh well, I still give a try every now and then.
