    Re: The End of Time

The way I look at the end of time is when God decides he has had enough of all this fun then it will be over. Not global warming or any black holes or angry aliens from another galaxy will end this world except God. I always remember what Jesus says that only God knows when the end of time is. Ms Bug quoted the correct passage and quoted scriptures which was nice to see. I am not good at that but I go with the meaning. There is nothing us mere mortals can do to predict it or guess or speed it up. It will come when God decides it will and not one minute sooner. I dont worry about it I just have faith.

    Re: The End of Time

Another "end of the world" scenario. Here is my take on it....the Myans were perhaps on of the most wicked groups of people to have walked the earth. Murdering, sacraficing, false god worshipping....I find it hard to believe that the Almighty confided in them the second coming. Just like others have said, only God knows when. It will be funny to watch the people go nuts, like on Y2K. I know I won't be anywhere near a walmart on that night....lol!

Love Walmart! Can't leave there without dropping a Benjamin! You are a science man, huh......honest question here.....what keeps you good? Really curious, since there is no eternal consequence for your actions (Godly justice). Curious as to what you believe. Are you a scientologist? Take care.

Well.....I have never been ask that question.....honest an answer as I can give is the human race has evolved a conscience and each of us has his own scruples as to whats right and wrong ...there are a lot of criminals that do all kinds of terrible things to others and believe as most of you guys do in a supreme being, so I don't believe the religious concept is a controlling factor in the way a person treats his fellow man .....Now I have to ask a question .....Do you believe the so called "atheist" is a bad person because he doesn't believe?

Not a scientologist or a computer whizz either...hit the wrong button before I got finished with the answer... I don't know what those guys believe but if it has anything to do with a mythical higher power then no ..not one on them either.... I will tell you what I do believe though..... If we all lived by the ten commandants it would be a better world for sure.... Don't misread that to mean I have a faith in anything spiritual, those are just good rules to live by.

I personally don't believe that an atheist is a bad person because he doesn't believe in God. I do believe that he has the right to change his mind. I think that one second after he dies, he will believe there really is a God and may discover that it's too late to make a "U" turn.

I have friends who are atheist or agnostics and they are wonderful people. I don't appreciate them calling Christians superstitious or making fun of them. My faith is based on my belief in a Supreme Being, God. I avoid discussions about their beliefs because it might cause hurt feelings for someone and could possibly cause them not to explore other possibilities. jmo

    Re: The End of Time

Bug, reference your statement: "What puzzles me is why people would believe that it has taken tens of millions of years for the sun, earth, and black hole to align for the FIRST time", the answer is that it doesn't take millions of years, IT HAPPENS EVERY 25,800 YEARS or there abouts. Beside, Pole Shift has to do with the North and South Poles shifting position, not with the rotation of the Earth reversing.

Andrew: Do a Google search for "Pole Shift 2012" or "Polar Shift 2012", then take your pick.

Folks that believe as you do have told me in the past that at the end everybody will change their mind as to the existence of their god.... not sure what that opinion is based on... As far as religions being superstitions, If you are in the ranks of the people who do not believe then I don't know what other category they could put it in.... anything in the supernatural world (so to speak) such as voodoo, witch craft or any of the "black arts" all are in the same ballpark.... As for the pushing contest between the believers and the non-believers,I suspect the non-believers get a lot more dirt thrown their way by the believers than they throw back.....

Wasn't there supposed to be a big earthquake in this area a while back? How'd that turn out?

Still waiting on this "flu pandemic" to finish off mankind as well. Seeing a lot of dollars change hands on this one..........

I just finished off lunch. I'm gonna go swim in some deep water now.......
