Only two places. Cumberland and those nighttime stripers and Barren for those nighttime hybrids. Think the bait will be a jointed Rick Clunn wakebait.

Cumberland through January
Florida gulf in February for a week than back to Cumberland until March than Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair in April, then again in May and June during may fly hatch for St. Clair. Back to Florida in July and Cumberland in between. Maybe 1 more trip to Florida in August and Salmon fishing in Michigan in late October.
Striper fish as much as possible on every weekend I am home on Cumberland. I know you only asked for spring time but that's my yearly ritual.
Can't wait till February for first Florida trip of the year, come on Grouper and Amberjack!

Please no mention of Salmon in MI. Too much fun.
I'll be heading back to Indianapolis to finish the construction job we had to halt for cold weather a few weeks back. I'll probably miss out on the big fish this spring![]()

My only solid plans are walleye and sauger in the Ohio river, maybe Paintsville and laurel,a maybe trip to the gulf in April for cobia and back to the gulf for two or three weeks in late September-early October.

It should be Cobia are a blast to catch as well but I cant make it down there then. Amberjack are stronger than cobia though. They don't call them reef donkeys for nothing. Holy cow the amberjack is amazing, I use 65lb good line and its all you can do to hang on and try and bring them up. If you cant stop them they will break you off. Even a 25lb amberjack can bust 65lb test.Impressive schedule, but should a cobia trip to the gulf mid April been included?

Salmon and steelhead in mich. man how I miss those times. Erie, well the walleye were ok if you could keep the drum off your bait. But what I miisand never will enjoy again is the weak fish[speckled trout in the gulf, FUN, and great eating.
Herrington in March for hybrids and whites and Largemouth in April and Stoner in May and June then wherever I can wet a line after that!!
