Salmon and steelhead in mich. man how I miss those times. Erie, well the walleye were ok if you could keep the drum off your bait. But what I miisand never will enjoy again is the weak fish[speckled trout in the gulf, FUN, and great eating.

How is Herrington for hybrids? Must be pretty good if that is your primary spring target. What tactics do you use up there for them?

Run up the dix river and you can cast for them using small crankbaits and spinners. If you find a pod of them you can burn em up drifting minnows. They run with the white bass spring spawning run. Some days you can catch over 100 whites and Hybrids.

    Re: Spring Fishing Must

Cumberland in the spring at night for striper. A couple trips to Barren jig fishing. Love it when the big fish are shallow there. Green about every weekend. It was on fire last year & caught some very nice Smallmouth there as well. It was extremely nice compared to Cumberland last year. Only had 1 trip we didn't do to good & still had 2 fish over 3Lbs. I personally love Cumberland when everything is normal, but Green last year could make you step back & take another look. Forgot to mention a few trips to the Hollow for Smallmouth.
