Lens color matters a lot, all polorized glasses are better than standard no doubt, but amber and yellow lens are best for sight fishing in low light. Green is the best all round in my opinion and what I use. You want to stay away from blue, although very popular but designed for ocean fishing and they will cut the most glare possible reducing vision for sight fishing.
Good luck with your purchase good sunglasses are worth the money!

Good call. Exactly what I have, mossback lens solar bat for sight fishing. And blue mirror Costa Del Mar for open water sunny days. Nice to have both.

I agree with the amber/yellow for cloudy days also. They even make me feel better on a gloomy day! I have two pairs of Oakley thumps with the MP3 player in them. One amber and one smoked.

During the winter when you have not seen the sun for days. And it is gloomy and overcast. Put a pair of amber on and it makes it look like the sun came out. Makes a difference. Of course it could be the tunes that helps too!

I have Solar Bats myself with green lens so good choice. I really like the solar bats, good lens and great fit, but some complain about being too tight, if you got a big watermelon head!
You will be happy with your choice. I have used them for about 10 years now and have only bought two pair, current pair is 3 years old and look like brand new with out a scratch on them.

Isnt there a company that makes a pair of glasses that comes with interchangable lense colors? That would be the ticket. I have a pair of the $20 berkleys from wal-mart and thyre just standard dark lenses but they work well. We'll see how the garcia repate wiley's turn out in a few weeks.
