Don't ever miss the opportunity to take a little one bluegill or croppie fishing if you have the opportunity and you are pretty sure you have a line on some fast fishing action (size absolutely does not matter) ....just be prepared to leave your fishing rod laying on the ground or on the floor of the boat ...We took a couple six year olds last year and that was the most enjoyable fishing experience of the year for me ...Be prepared also to get blamed if for some reason one of them go for a few minutes without catching a fish ( speaking from experience here) ..I started doing more croppie fishing myself last year and find it a good bit more relaxing than bass fishing ...As far as something new,I'll be 65 this year so if fate allows me to see the next new year and still be healthy enough to enjoy what I love to do then that's enough new for me...

I am actually going to fish this year! With new twins in '09, I only got out on the water about 5 or 6 times. Hopefully, I will reach the 8 pound mark here on Ky lake. Had several 7's in 2008, but never could get the 8 - guess, I just need more time on the water.

I would really like to break into the double digits on a largemouth this year. I have gotten a 9.7, but never gotten into the doubles. Would really like to learn a lot about fishing Barren Lake this year now that I have a boat and it is so close to home. Hopefully I can accomplish both of those goals at the same time! Good luck to everyone else on their 2010 goals! Fish on!

A lot of those 7's we were catching back in 08 were 8lber's in 09...you should hit that 8lb mark this year for sure...good luck and glad to see you are gonna be back out there more this year Kevin.
