Sounds like my kinda fishin in these conditions.......especially with the hostesses "scantilly" clad !! As long as they are female!!lolWe can put you on some, but with colder weather, fish bite will very dependent on the following conditions.Dale walleyes can only be caught from back of your warm houseboat stocked with a large quanity of food ,drink ,Direct TV with all sports networks and 2 or more scantly clad hostess. If any of the conditions aren't meet, catch rate will be very poor!
I saw a 12Lb. Walleye at Green. Was loading up when some fellas came in to load up as well & had to show us their fish to us. A 12Lber is a pretty nice one that's for sure.
Nice walleye. Nice striper too. I have been doing well with the stripers also four over 30lbs so far this new year that is two days.
Congrats on a hog of a wall eye, thanks for the report and pics. I would like to get in on some of that myself.![]()
Nice eye, they are definitely in there! I caught my biggest eye ever on the CR last winter, it went around 8lbs. Talk about DELICIOUS! Enjoy.

For me I have been fishing the Cumberland River think about it the water coming out of the dam is in the upper 40s so the fish are running up to the dam.
Have Fun and be Safe GREEN RIVER TIME
Nice fish Randy.
If you don't mind sharing - Alewife or Gizz?
GRT - not sure I follow you? Isn't the temp about the same throughout the river in the winter? Are you saying the water coming out of the dam is actually warmer? Isn't the upper 40s on the cold side of prefered temps for stripes and eyes?
I think the annual winter shad kill in the lake getting sucked through the dam is the reason you want to be there.
Caught on alewives. Fish are at dam to feed on bait getting sucked out of lake through turbines or sluice gates. No other reason for them to fight the heavy current next to dam.
That is what I was wondering too???I think all the dead shad coming through the turbines is why they are there.
